Sodium, Glucose & Water Transport

In oral hydration physiology, sodium and glucose can be transported together across intestinal cells. Sodium-Glucose Cotransporter 1 (SGLT1) is one of the best-known pathways involved in that process and helps explain why the two ingredients are often considered together.
